Year 6 Kerem Adventure Camp
The Year 6 Camp was held at Kerem Adventure Camp in Bullsbrook during Week Two this term. The students had a great time and were able to challenge themselves in a number of activities such as rock climbing and low ropes. It was great to see the students work together in team situations and encourage each other to overcome their fears. Well done to all students who attended the camp.
Take a look through some of the photos in the gallery below.

Walk to School Day
A big thank you to all the teachers and students who dolled up in their 80's fitness gear for last week's 'Walk to School Day'.
We had such great fun getting all dressed up, parading around the oval, participating in our road safety course and getting our photos taken in our awesome photo booth.
Here are a few snaps of our fun.

Interschool Cricket
In Week 2 our Year 5 Interschool Cricket team competed in the regional final against a number of other schools. We did our best against some tough opposition. We didn't make it through to the state final but we will be better for the experience. Well done team!
Daniel Z
Well done to Daniel Z in Year 5 who was recently selected in the Perth Glory FC Junior Soccer Team. A fantastic achievement.
Parents, if your child achieves excellence in their chosen sport I'd love to hear about it.
Madeley Cup
Well done to Storm who won the Madeley Cup on Tuesday for the second year in a row. The winning horse was ridden beautifully by Ian L in Year 2. Check out the photos on the Madeley PS Facebook page.

Earthworks & Carpentry for Early Childhood Area
Our Early Childhood staff are seeking an enthusiast with a bobcat to come and remove the grass from the inside of our bike track in order to extend our nature playground. It would be helpful if they could also bring in the new mulch and pebbles for our river bed.
We are also looking for a skilled person to come and build us a bridge/jetty leading to our existing canoe (we can provide the materials).
Your assistance is very much appreciated as it will make our limited budget stretch a lot further! We are aiming to complete the works by the end of the school year.
Please contact the front office, 9302 3611, if you are able to help or know someone who can.
Thanks in advance,
Ashleigh Beech & Libby Waddell

A Night at the Casino
Thanks to everyone who has supported this fundraiser. We hope you have a great night out at the Casino.
Canteen news
Unfortunately our Canteen supervisor Rebecca Mauk will be leaving her position to pursue another career path on the 20th November. We wish her the best of luck with her new venture and would like to thank her for her hard work and service over the past 5 years.
Leanne our canteen assistant, will be acting in her role from this date until the end of the of the school term. Please refer to the advertisement below seeking a temporary replacement for Leanne's position. We will also be advertising the position of Canteen Supervisor very soon with the successful applicant commencing in Term 1 next year.
We are, as always, looking for volunteers to assist in the canteen. Got 30 minutes to an hour to spare after drop off to help make sandwiches and pikelets? Just pop by the canteen (Wednesday-Friday), we would love the help.
We're also looking to establish a casual pool of relief canteen staff to cover annual and sick leave. If you are interested in applying, please contact the P&C for more information.
No Parking
We would like to thank some of the P&C dads who kindly painted the "No Standing" signs on the kerb in the early childhood parking area. In the interests of our children's safety, we encourage you to find another place to park.
Cookbook (Christmas is coming!)
The school cookbook, "Madeley on a Plate", is still for sale via the front office or P&C. The price has been reduced to just $10 and would make an ideal gift for friends and family. This book makes a great Christmas gift.
Do you own a business or work somewhere with good traffic flow? If so we'd love you to take a few of our cookbooks to put on your counter to sell for us. We have sold over half but with 350 cookbooks to go we would love to sell them at our new reduced rate and use the profits to purchase resources for our children. Please contact Mariesa O'Donnell at mariesa76@iinet.net.au if you're interested.
Did you know that the Madeley P&C has a Facebook group? Please look us up at "Madeley P&C" to join and keep up to date with the latest P&C information.
